Underworld stars Kate Beckinsale as a
warrior Vampire named Selene who along
with other members of her Coven are out
to rid the world of Lycans ( also known
as werewolves). The Lycans are headed by
Lucien ( Michael Sheen) who are trying
to stave off elimination by finding a
long lost bloodline that will
enable the two breeds to commingle
and become a new race of beings half
vampire half werewolf. Well needless to
say they find the one person left on the
planet who has this bloodline and the
battles begin.
Underworld makes me wonder why the
accomplished Actress Kate Beckinsale
would even appear in this movie.
It is also such a blatant rip off of
some other movies namely "The Matrix"
and "Blade I and II" except they had
better storylines. The movie is hard to
follow and there really was no character
development that made much sense. The
movie is rated R and I can understand
why especially with all the
violence.
My recommendation wait for the movie to
come to video and then rent it. Surely
you can find something better to do with
two hours.
